ALL ABOUT HAPPY RIDGE HOMESTEAD

Since Travis and Rachel started raising Japanese quail in late 2020, they have had one goal: to learn to become more self-sufficient while having fun! The quail operation has doubled since 2022, while Travis and Rachel continue to work full-time in their respective careers.
The standard and jumbo-sized Coturnix at Happy Ridge Homestead (HRH) are bred for temperament, health, and vigor. HRH has over 350 Coturnix with six lines (Italian/Manchurian, Pharaoh, Celadon, Pearl Fee, Pansy, and Falb Fee). The quails are raised indoors in a temperature-controlled environment with 10-12 hours of supplemental lighting daily. HRH keeps their Hatching Time cages clean and stocked with gamebird feed and filtered water.
Eggs are collected daily. Hatching eggs (unwashed) are stored pointy side down in a 55-60 degree Fahrenheit fridge to preserve vitality.
Hatching eggs are shipped in custom (HRH-designed) insulated foams via USPS Priority Mail.
